A member of the Royal Society of Arts and lecturer at St. Martin’s School of Art, Kay Cosserat was vital to the establishment of the London Designer Collections, the forerunner of London Fashion Week. Due to her untimely death in 2003, few of Cosserat’s pieces remain in circulation, with most in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. This set is a beautiful example of her muted, comfortable aesthetic: sweater dressing at its best.

Oversized top features dropped bishop sleeves, blousing gathered elastic waistband and 7” sailor collar; pullover construction with no closures of any kind. Matching skirt with gathered elastic waist and slightly flared hemline; pull-on construction with no closures of any kind. Both pieces unlined.
