SIZING + FIT
Yes, Marilyn Monroe was a size 12. But a 1950s size 12 is equivalent to a modern size 6. To avoid confusion we include detailed measurements of every garment in our item descriptions and also convert those measurements into modern sizes from XS to XL.
STEP ONE: First and foremost, measure your current clothes
Vanity sizing has made modern size numbers almost meaningless. We strongly recommend you compare our measurements against a similar garment in your wardrobe whose fit you love. If the measurements are comparable, chances are our garment will fit you well, too.
STEP TWO: Alternatively, measure yourself (but add room to move!)
Add at least an inch to your own body measurements to account for range of motion. For example, if your bust measures 36" we would suggest a garment with a bust measurement of at least 37".
