- An average of 12 animals are saved from the contemporary supply chain for every one vintage fur recycled.
- Wearing vintage fur instead of new prevents the release of tons of toxic chemicals-including formaldehyde, lead acetate and hexavalent chromium-into the environment every year.
- A modern fur jacket consumes 20 times the energy to produce as a faux fur jacket, which itself requires 1/3 gallon of petroleum to manufacture. Vintage furs, which have already been processed, impose no additional energy impact.
