late 1960s rive gauche crochet gown, xs

A little bit hippie, a little bit rock and roll: this gown works both angles. The color, sleekness and restraint belong to the beau monde, but the crochet keeps it grassroots. Imagine the disco ball button in back is your own private party.

Mock turtleneck column gown crocheted with alternating circle and square shapes throughout; lined in black muslin from bust to ankle, but shoulders and arms remain exposed. Woven tape trim outlines mock t-neck, bustline front to back, and sleeve edges. Rear nylon zipper closure stops midway up back, then 5 hooks and eyes close the remainder of the bodice; hook and eye closures at wrist. One decorative rhinestone ball button at center back; 15 ½” left side slit.
