ca. 1956 mink persuasion jacket, m

In 1956 a young man named Ernest hoped to make the right impression on the parents of his girlfriend Eve. He reckoned giving Eve a luxurious gift shortly before they met might convince the parents of his sincerity. This jacket was that gift. Eve and Ernie married two months later with her parents’ blessing.

Mahogany mink cropped jacket with wide notched V collar; right side interior pocket. One hook and eye closure at waist; fully lined in taupe silk brocade. Monogrammed “ERS” inside right panel.
