1960s ceil chapman velvet + brocade shirtwaist dress, s

As breathtakingly perfect as Jean Shrimpton on the cover of Bazaar.  (It even has pockets!)  Don’t look directly at it; you’ll have to blind yourself afterward so it’s the last thing you saw.

Ceil Chapman shirtwaist dress with silk velvet bodice and quilted silk brocade skirt shot with silver metallic thread; discrete hook and loop at banded neckline offers optional keyhole opening at chest.  Rear nylon zipper closure with three hooks and loops at neck.  On-seam pockets both sides; chain stitch belt loops and felted wool belt.*  Dress lined in silk muslin; sleeves unlined.
